The alphorn concerto was written for „Corno pastoriccio“ and may be played on a horn, an alphorn or on whatever natural instrument that may sound the notes d, g, b, d (concert pitch). The orchestral version was published at Edition Kunzelmann back in 1979 by Kurt Janetzky, now for the first time a version for alphorn and piano is available.
